COMPENSATIONS FOR PROPERTY INSURANCE

 

Steps to follow in case of a damage:

 Step 1: Measures to limit the damage

  1. Please, take the required measures to limit the damage.
  2. Promptly inform the competent authorities (Association of Owners, police authorities, firefighting authorities and so on) and claim for drafting of the relevant documents regarding the causes and circumstances of insured loss occurrence.

 Step 2: Notification of an insured loss to GENERAL ASIGURARI

If you need a damage claim to be opened by and notified to GENERAL ASIGURARI Company, you may contact us, using the following procedures:

  • You can telephone us at (+373-22) 78-41-09 from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 a.m. to 05:30 p.m.
  • You can send us an e-mail at any time at the address: dm.lareneg@iribugapsed, specifying the details of the insured loss, series/number of the GENERAL ASIGURARI policy, your name and contact details
  • You can send the documents by post at the address: GENERAL ASIGURARI, 106 Burebista Street, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova

Documents required to consider the damage claim:

  • Identity card of the insured
  • A copy of the insurance agreement (policy)
  • A copy of the document attesting the insurable interest (a document regarding the ownership right/rent, purchase invoices and so on) in the insured property
  • A power of attorney (in case of individuals) or proxy/delegation (in case of legal entities) signed and sealed by the insured if the person taking part in notification/establishment of the damage is not the insured themselves
  • Schemes/plans of the damaged dwelling
  • Documents issued by the competent authorities, depending on the insured risk:
    • In case of insured loss occurrence as a result of accidental water leakage from the water pipes – you need to appeal to the Association of Owners; if there is a guilty person, you need to address to the police authorities
    • In case of a theft or an act of vandalism – you need to address to the police authorities
    • In case of a fire – you need to present a report issued by the firefighting authorities
    • In case of damages caused by atmospheric phenomena or floods – you need to address to the National Meteorology Authority

*GENERAL ASIGURARI shall reserve the right to require, as well, other documents, besides those one specified above, for the purpose of analysing the causes of insured loss occurrence and damage amounts.

DAMAGES IN CASE OF ACCIDENT INSURANCE

 

Steps to follow in case of a damage

If you need a damage claim to be opened by and notified to the Insurance Company GENERAL ASIGURARI JSC, you may contact us, using the following procedures:

  • You can telephone us at (+373-22) 78-41-10 from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 a.m. to 05:30 p.m.
  • You can send us an e-mail at any time at the address: dm.lareneg@dem, specifying the details of the insured loss, series/number of the GENERAL ASIGURARI policy, your name and contact details
  • You can send the documents by post at the address: Insurance Company GENERAL ASIGURARI JSC, Republic of Moldova, Chisinau Municipality, 106 Burebista Street.
  • You can send the documents by fax: (+373 22) 78-38-01

We need the following information, in order to get a notification about the damage claim:

  • Series/number of the insurance policy
  • Date of insured loss occurrence
  • Name of the insured/prejudiced person
  • Details of the insured loss circumstances
  • Telephone number/e-mail address to contact you

Documents required to consider the damage claim:

  • AN APPLICATION FOR COMPENSATION FOR ACCIDENT INSURANCE
  • A copy of the insurance policy serving as a basis for notification about an insured loss
  • A copy of the identity document of the insured or a copy of the birth certificate, when it comes to a minor person, and a copy of the identity document of such minor person’s representative
  • A copy of the medical document issued on the day of consultation and stating the diagnosis and treatment administered by the health establishments that rendered first aid after an accident and/or examined and treated the insured later (medical certificate, medical letter, hospital discharge summary, sick leave certificate, copies of medical prescriptions and so on)
  • A copy of the report stating occurrence of a workplace accident if such an accident occurred at the workplace of the insured
  • A readable (easy-to-follow) copy of the report drafted by the police authorities at the place of accident (in case of road accidents)
  • Medical examination report stating the actual clinical condition (only in case of onset of permanent disability as a result of the accident)
  • Payment slips/cashier’s receipts (in original), bills for drugs purchase, rehabilitation sessions and so on
  • A copy of the medical certificate stating the death of the insured
  • A copy of the identity document of the insurance beneficiary (either of a named beneficiary or of an heir)
  • An heir certificate (certified copy) or a certificate of the status of an heir (certified copy) if no beneficiary was named in the policy
  • Banking details for MDL (lei) transfer

 

GENERAL ASIGURARI shall reserve the right to require, as well, other documents, besides those one specified above, for the purpose of analysing the causes of insured loss occurrence and damage value.

COMPENSATIONS FOR COMPULSORY THIRD-PARTY CAR INSURANCE

 

What to do in case of occurrence of an insured loss related to the compulsory third-party car insurance?

     1. Notification about the insured loss, made by the person guilty of road accident occurrence:

If you need a damage claim to be notified to the Insurance Company GENERAL ASIGURARI JSC in case of the compulsory third-party car insurance, you may use the following procedures:

  • You can telephone us at (+373-22) 78-41-06, 78-41-16, 78-41-10 from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 a.m. to 05:30 p.m.
  • You can send us an e-mail at any time at the address: dm.lareneg@iribugapsed, specifying the details of the insured loss, series/number of the GENERAL ASIGURARI policy, your name, contact details and, if needed, documents attesting road accident occurrence
  • You can send the documents by post at the address: Insurance Company GENERAL ASIGURARI JSC, Moldova, Chisinau Municipality, 106 Burebista Street.
  • You can come to the Claims Department headquarters of the Insurance Company GENERAL ASIGURARI JSC, Chisinau Municipality, 106 Burebista Street, 3 floor (map) or to any territorial subdivisions across the country.

Notification about the damage shall be made immediately but not later than in 48 hours after road accident occurrence.

      2. After the insured loss was notified, both the injured person and the guilty one shall mandatorily present the following sets of documents:

Documents to be presented by the guilty person:

  • Identity card of the insured
  • Driving license of the person driving the vehicle at the moment of insured loss occurrence
  • Vehicle registration certificate
  • Report on technical inspection of the vehicle
  • Trip ticket if the motor vehicle is the property of a company
  • A copy of the compulsory third-party car insurance policy
  • File of offence (a certified copy thereof) or any other document issued by the police authorities and stating how and when the insured loss occurred, and, if needed who is guilty of damage infliction
  • Proxy from the company if the motor vehicle is the property of a company
  • Notarised power of attorney if the owner cannot present themselves at the time of damage establishment

What to do in case of occurrence of a CASCO insured loss?

If you need a damage claim to be notified to the Insurance Company GENERAL ASIGURARI JSC, you may use the following procedures:

  • You can telephone us at (+373-22) 78-41-15, 78-41-07,  from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 a.m. to 05:30 p.m.
  • You can send us an e-mail at any time at the address: dm.lareneg@iribugapsed, specifying the details of the insured loss, series/number of the GENERAL ASIGURARI policy, your name, contact details and, if needed, documents attesting insured loss occurrence
  • You can send the documents by post at the address: Insurance Company GENERAL ASIGURARI JSC, Moldova, Chisinau Municipality, 106 Burebista Str.
  • You can come to the Claims Department headquarters of the Insurance Company GENERAL ASIGURARI JSC, Chisinau Municipality, 106 Burebista Street, 3 floor (map) or to any territorial subdivisions across the country.

Information required for damage notification:

  • Identification and contact information of the persons involved in the insured loss, particularly of that one, who makes the appeal, of the vehicle drivers, both of insured and damaged ones, if needed
  • Causes and circumstances of insured loss occurrence, including the details of the place of the insured loss and the moment of occurrence thereof, i.e. date and time
  • Identification information about the motor vehicles involved in the insured loss
  • Details of the location and state of the damaged vehicle (whether it may be driven or not)
  • Place, where you want the damage establishment to take place

It will be very easy to provide the above information if you have at hand at least the following documents:

  • Insurance policy
  • Your identity card
  • Registration certificate of the vehicle damaged
  • Driving licence of the person driving the vehicle damaged
  • Documents issued by the authorities (police/firefighting/other authorities), or amicable car accident settlement, as the case may be
  • Other documents, depending on the insured loss

The above documents are an enumeration of the papers that may be useful to have on you for the purpose of damage notification, however, these are not the documents required for damage settlement.

After you provide the above details, you will get all the information required for damage establishment.

List of documents required to be presented by the insureds:

  • Identity card of the insured or of the attorney-in-fact
  • Driving license of the person driving the vehicle at the moment of insured loss occurrence
  • Registration certificate of the vehicle damaged
  • Report on technical inspection of the vehicle, valid as of the date of the accident
  • Trip ticket if the motor vehicle is the property of a company
  • A copy of the CASCO policy, or number and series of the insurance policy
  • File of offence (a certified copy thereof) or any other document issued by the police authorities and stating how and when the insured loss occurred, and, if needed who is guilty of damage infliction
  • Proxy from the company if the motor vehicle is the property of a company
  • Notarised power of attorney if the owner cannot present themselves at the time of damage establishment
  • Proxy from the leasing company if the motor vehicle is the property of a leasing company
