Green Card

• Damages suffered by the insured or by the person at fault for the accident;
• Damages to the vehicle that caused the accident;
• Damages to property belonging to the insured;
• Other exclusions provided by the legislation of the country where the accident occurred.

• Accidents caused intentionally;
• Use of the vehicle in violation of applicable legislation;
• Other situations provided by national legislation, the legislation of the state where the accident occurred, and the rules of the International Green Card Insurance System.

The compulsory external RCA insurance contract "Green Card" is effective outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova only in member states of the International Green Card Insurance System whose international codes inscribed in the Green Card insurance certificate are not crossed out.

• To pay the insurance premium;
• To take all possible actions to mitigate the damages caused;
• To notify the insurer issuing the Green Card insurance certificate about: the occurrence of the road accident, after which the claims settlement, damage assessment, determination of the amount and payment of indemnities under the external civil liability auto insurance are carried out by the national bureaus of member states of the International Green Card Insurance System or by designated correspondents and/or agents, under the conditions and limits established by the applicable legislation of the country where the accident occurred and/or in accordance with the procedures and rules set and accepted by the General Regulations of the Council of Bureaux.

Payment of the insurance premium is made in full before the issuance of the insurance policy.

The insurer's liability begins:

• From the date stated in the Green Card insurance certificate and ends at 24:00 on the last day of validity of the compulsory external RCA insurance contract or before that day;
• From the moment the vehicle is deregistered by the competent authorities.

The compulsory external RCA "Green Card" insurance contract may be terminated by a notification addressed in advance to the insurer, on the following grounds:

• Withdrawal of the insurer's license;
• Notification by the insured regarding the transfer of vehicle ownership, accompanied by supporting documents;
• Agreement of the parties;
• Other cases provided by law;
• Compulsory external RCA insurance contracts with a validity period of one month or less may be terminated without prior notification, but no later than the start date of the insurance period.
