General Liability Insurance

• Damage caused intentionally, through fraud, criminal acts or culpable acts known before the insurance came into force.
• Claims by employees, representatives, persons controlled by the insured or persons in contractual relations with the insured, unless otherwise stated.
• Liabilities voluntarily assumed through contracts/guarantees, activities not indicated in the policy or performed without the necessary permits/licenses.
• Moral damages, pure financial losses, lost profit, reduction in property value after repair, fines, penalties and criminal/enforcement expenses.
• Property owned by, in the care or custody of the insured; money, securities, databases, software, objects of artistic/historical value.
• War, terrorism, riots, nuclear energy, confiscation/requisition, pollution, contamination, hazardous substances, waste, use of vehicles or cyber risks.

• Cover is valid only for the activity, risks, territory, limits and period stated in the policy/contract.
• The total liability limit is reduced by paid claims; if several persons are affected by the same incident, compensation is distributed proportionally within the available sum.
• Compensation is granted only if the damage is real, documented, causally linked to the insured’s act and liability is confirmed by final acts of the competent authorities.

• On the territory of the Republic of Moldova, according to the insurance policy, if this is the territory indicated in the contractual documents.
• Only within the geographical area mentioned in the policy/contract and only for the activities carried out by the insured within that territory.

• When taking out the policy, fully and correctly complete the questionnaire/application and declare the activity, specific risks, loss history, other insurance and all circumstances that may influence the risk.
• Comply with legislation and rules applicable to your activity and take reasonable measures to prevent or limit damage.
• Notify the insurer in writing as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours after the event or becoming aware of it.
• Preserve the factual situation, limit the extension of the loss, provide all documents/evidence and allow the insurer’s investigations.

• The insurance premium, currency and payment terms are those stated in the insurance policy.
• Non-payment of the premium or an instalment may lead to the cover not entering into force, suspension of cover or termination of the contract.

• The contract is usually concluded for 12 months and produces effects according to the period indicated in the policy/contract.
• The contract enters into force on the signing date, while insurance protection starts no earlier than 24:00 on the day the premium or first instalment is received by the insurer and not before the date stated in the policy.
• Cover ends at 24:00 on the end date stated in the policy or earlier, including by payment of claims up to the total limit, termination, cessation of the insured’s activity or nullity of the contract.

The contract may be terminated by written notice/declaration sent to the other party at least 30 days before the termination date. If payment of the premium or an instalment is delayed, the insurer may terminate the contract after notice of the outstanding amount and the additional period provided by the contract. The refund of the premium for the unused period is made according to the contractual conditions applicable to the reason for termination.
