Comprehensive Home Insurance

• Property, persons, locations or risks not indicated in the policy/contract or for which there is no insurable interest or supporting documents.

• Cover applies only to the sections, property, persons, risks, sums insured, deductible, period and address/territory stated in the policy/contract.
• The sums insured and premium are predefined; for other sums, separate “Homeowner” or “Accidents” policies are issued.
• For Home, Household contents and Third-party liability, a deductible of 10% of the amount of loss applies to each claim; no deductible applies to the Accidents section.
• Compensation for one item of household contents is generally limited to MDL 5,000, except for items expressly listed in the inventory.
• Household contents are not covered for direct lightning strike.

For the Home and Household contents sections, cover applies at the address/territory stated in the insurance policy and related application.

• When taking out the policy, correctly declare the details of the owner, family members, home, property, values and any circumstance relevant to the risk.
• Pay the premium in the agreed amount and on time; keep the policy, application and supporting documents for the insured property and persons.
• Keep the home and property in good condition, follow safety and fire-prevention rules and inform the insurer of any material change in risk.
• If an event occurs, take measures to save the property and limit the loss, and immediately notify the insurer and the competent authorities.
• Keep the damaged property until inspection and submit loss reports, medical documents, police/fire/emergency service records and any other requested documents.

The premium is paid in accordance with the policy, in full or under the contract terms, for the insured period and risks.

• The contract is generally concluded for 12 months, for the period shown in the policy.
• For Home, Household contents and Third-party liability, the insurer’s liability starts at 00:00 on the day after the premium is paid, unless the policy states otherwise.
• Cover ends at 24:00 on the date stated in the policy or earlier in the cases provided by the contract: cancellation, nullity, disposal of the property or payment of compensation up to the full insured amount.

The contract may be terminated at the request of either party by written notice given 30 days before the termination date. On termination, the insurer refunds the premium for the remaining period until expiry, counting any started month as a full month, less 35% administration expenses and after the policy is returned. No premium is refunded if the policy has been in force for more than 10 months or if compensation payments have been made.
