'Homeowner' Insurance

• Property not indicated in the contract/policy, property whose value or ownership cannot be proven, and property outside the accepted sections.
• Under “Home”: carpets or other loose floor coverings, buildings used for trade/production, plants/trees/shrubs, soil, above-ground pools, mobile homes, trailers, vehicles, roads or tennis courts.
• Under “Household contents”: jewellery above the established limits, unprocessed precious stones, stamps/coins, cash or payment documents, motor vehicles, animals, plants, works of art, databases/software, commercial goods and goods intended for sale.
• Damaged property, property intended for demolition/capital repairs, unoccupied property or property with changed residential use, as well as property with wear/depreciation exceeding 60%.
• Property located in officially declared natural disaster areas, property used for profit-making, machinery/tools for production or services, and agricultural/livestock production intended for commercial output.

• Cover is valid only for the sections, property, risks, sums insured, liability limits, deductibles and period stated in the contract/policy.
• Non-payment of the premium/installment, false statements, failure to comply with obligations, moving the property without notice or late notification may lead to suspension/termination of cover or refusal of compensation.

Household contents are covered only if they are located within the insured dwelling/perimeter specified in the insurance documents.

• When taking out the policy, fully and correctly declare the property, its value, the insurance location, the requested sections, the existence of other insurance and all essential risk circumstances; answer the insurer’s questions.
• Allow verification/inspection of the property and submit the inventory, title deeds, valuation documents and any other requested information.
• Keep the property in good condition, comply with legal safety and fire-prevention rules and do not increase the risk without informing the insurer.
• In the event of a loss, take measures to save the property and limit the damage, immediately notify the insurer (phone/fax, then in writing) and the competent authorities within the contractual time limits.
• Keep the damaged property until inspection, allow the loss assessment, submit documents from the police/fire/emergency/weather services and preserve the insurer’s right of recourse against liable persons.

• The premium is calculated separately for the “Home” and “Household contents” sections by applying the rates to the sum insured; the total premium is the sum of the section premiums.
• Basic rates start from 0.15% of the insured sum for “Home” and from 0.5% for “Household contents”; third-party liability is included automatically up to 10% of the aggregated sum of sections 1 and 2, while increasing the limit requires an additional premium.

• The contract is generally concluded for 12 months; the exact period is shown in the insurance policy.
• Cover starts at 00:00 on the day after the premium is paid in cash or the day after the premium is credited to the insurer’s account; on renewal, the rules provided by the conditions apply.
• Cover ends at 24:00 on the last day of the insurance period, by agreement of the parties, or earlier in the cases provided for: non-payment of the premium, relocation of the property without notice, death/liquidation of the parties or other legal/contractual cases.

The contract may be terminated/rescinded before expiry by written notice sent to the other party 30 calendar days before the termination date. If termination is initiated by the insured, the insurer refunds the premium for the complete remaining months until contract expiry, less the actual administration expenses, in accordance with the contractual conditions.
