Steps to follow after the accident occurs
Notify the Police
Immediately notify the Police by calling 112 about the accident. If the accident resulted only in minor material damage, you may complete and sign the amicable accident statement form.
Report the claim and submit the request

What information should I prepare?
When reporting the accident, provide the following details:
- Names and contact details of the persons involved;
- Date, time and place of the accident (including the country, for a Green Card policy);
- Registration numbers of the vehicles involved;
- Series and number of the MTPL policy or Green Card certificate.
Required documents
For the at-fault party:
Identity card of the insured person;
Driving licence of the person who was driving at the time of the event;
Vehicle registration certificate;
Vehicle technical inspection certificate;
Waybill, if the vehicle is owned by a company;
Administrative offence file (certified copy) or any other document issued by the Police showing how and when the event occurred or the amicable accident statement form.
For the injured party:
Identity card of the injured party;
Driving licence of the person who was driving at the time of the event;
Registration certificate of the damaged vehicle;
Administrative offence file (certified copy) or any other document issued by the Police showing how and when the event occurred / amicable accident statement form;
Bank details.
The documents listed above are the minimum required to open the claim file. GENERAL ASIGURĂRI claims inspectors may subsequently request additional documents, where applicable, after the inspection.

The injured party or their legal representative may claim compensation under the conditions provided by law.
Property damage and bodily injury/death caused to third parties by vehicle accidents are covered, within the limits provided by the applicable legislation. For the Green Card, the limits are those established by the legislation of the country where the accident occurred.
Yes. The documents may initially be sent scanned to despagubiri@general.md, with the originals or certified copies to be presented later, as instructed by the claims inspector.
